About NovellaFit
Honest, research-backed answers about bra fit for women everywhere — from a site that sells no bras and has nothing to push but the right size.
Why This Site Exists
Studies repeatedly find that most women are wearing the wrong bra size — and there's still surprisingly little honest, practical guidance to fix that. There are confusing UK/US size charts, and there are shops that hand you whatever is in stock. NovellaFit, founded by Umar Farooq, was built to fill that gap: a research-backed resource that explains fit, sizing, comfort, and care in plain English, grounded in how women everywhere actually shop and dress.
What We Publish
We do one thing, and we try to do it unusually well: in-depth, problem-based guides. Most articles start from a real problem women search for — "straps keep falling," "underwire poking," "band rides up," "what bra under a fitted top" — and walk through the cause and the fix. We cover:
- Fit & sizing — measuring at home, decoding cup sizes, sister sizing, and fixing gaping cups, riding bands, and spillage.
- Comfort & health — shoulder and back pain, underwire and strap marks, rashes and sweat in hot climates, and when to see a doctor.
- Style, occasions & care — the right bra under local clothing, sports and nursing needs, plus washing, storage, and smart buying.
What Makes Us Different
We are not a brand or a shop, and we do not sell bras, take stock, or earn a commission for steering you to one product over another. That independence is the entire value of the site. It's why we can tell you when a cheaper local option is genuinely fine, when padding is doing nothing for you, and when a "problem" with your body is really just a fit problem with the bra.
How We Get Our Facts
Our guidance draws on established lingerie-fitting principles, garment construction, and health guidance from credible medical sources — combined with the realities of the real-world market. Our full standards are documented in our editorial policy. Because some content touches on health, please also read our disclaimer.
